Boris Groys is a Professor of Russian and Slavic Studies at NYU, and a Senior Research Fellow at the Karlsruhe University of Arts and Design in Karlsruhe, Germany. Groys is an internationally acclaimed art curator and critic, philosopher and media theorist. His personal publication catalogue constitutes over a dozen books and almost two hundred articles, ranging within a large area of topics and disciplines. His research masterfully links art and philosophy, showing how the driving force of art is essentially philosophical. His most recent publications include the books Going Public (2010), An Introduction to Antiphilosophy (2012), and Under Suspicion: A Phenomenology of Media (2012). Groys was also the editor of Moscow Symposium: Conceptualism Revisited (2012).

In 2012 Groys curated the exhibition After History: Alexandre Kojève as a Photographer, focusing on Kojève’s diverse biography and philosophical positions.
