Join us as a panel of renowned experts considers how Russia has been behaving in world affairs and why, with a focus on the development of U.S.-Russia relations since the fall of communism. The panel will pay special attention to the long-term strategies and objectives that have animated U.S. and Russian policy makers; the way these have been disrupted by the crisis over Ukraine; and the likely future of Russian and American strategies in Eastern Europe. The panelists combine academic expertise and long professional experience in world affairs and attempt to take the long view of an immediate crisis.

Co-Sponsored by the NYU Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia and the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.

Speakers will include:

David Speedie, Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs (introduction)

Thomas E. Graham, Kissinger Associates
Arturas Rozenas, NYU Department of Politics
Nicolai Petro, University of Rhode Island

Yanni Kotsonis, NYU Jordan Center (moderator)
