On Tuesday, November 27th please join us for "The Vory: understanding Russia's gangsters in their historical and political context" with Mark Galeotti (Institute of International Relations Prague). This event is part of the Occasional Series, sponsored by the NYU Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia.

Mark Galeotti talks about his new book, The Vory: Russia's super mafia (Yale UP), and about thirty years spent researching, watching and talking to the Russian underworld.

Mark Galeotti is Senior Non-Resident Fellow at the Institute of International Relations Prague and a Jean Monnet Fellow at the European University Institute in Florence, and formerly Professor of Global Affairs at NYU.
