Join us for the inaugural event of the new series, Russia and Its Neighbors: In Search of a New Paradigm — In Conversation with Dr. Yevgenia Albats, featuring Harvard economist Oleg Itskhoki.
Born in Moscow and educated at Princeton and Harvard, Professor Itskhoki now teaches economics at Harvard University. He is the recipient of the 2022 John Bates Clark Medal and co-author of the influential Itskhoki–Mukhin model of exchange rate determination.
In this conversation, Professor Itskhoki will examine:
• The global economic repercussions of Russia’s war against Ukraine
• The effectiveness and limitations of Western sanctions
• The resilience of Russia’s economy in sustaining the conflict
• The logic behind U.S. policy toward Europe, Ukraine, and Russia
The discussion will be followed by a Q&A with the audience.
Light refreshments will be served.
