Alexei Yurchak is Professor of Anthropology at UC Berkeley. He is the author of the award-winning book Everything was Forever until It Was No More: the Last Soviet Generation. His forthcoming book Sovereign Flesh  focuses on the scientific, political and aesthetic history of Lenin’s body. He is also working on a series of articles in political anthropology on the foundations of Putin’s regime and its war.
