Sasha Burshteyn

Sasha Burshteyn is a poet. Her work has appeared, or is forthcoming in, The Paris Review DailyThe Kenyon ReviewThe BafflerThe Yale ReviewThe Common, and other publications. She holds degrees from Amherst College and New York University, where she was a Goldwater Fellow. In 2016, she was a Thomas J. Watson Fellow, during which time she conceived and executed an original project exploring narratives of social upheaval in Ireland, South Africa, India, Georgia, and Guatemala. Sasha was a 2022 92Y Discovery Prize winner and a 2025 Ruth Lilly and Dorothy Sargent Rosenberg Poetry Fellowship finalist. Her work has received support from the Hawthornden Foundation and National Geographic. Sasha currently serves as Translations Editor at Four Way Review. She was born in Russia and raised in Brooklyn and Donbas.
