Jacob Tucker is a postdoctoral fellow at the Jordan Center at NYU. His research interests are in the political psychology of autocracies with a regional focus on Russia and the Former Soviet Union. His general research agenda seeks to answer questions about how authoritarian leaders sustain public support. His current book project explores how authoritarian citizens interact with propaganda from why they continue to engage with state media even when they have access to alternative sources of information to why they are persuaded by it when they do. Beyond these substantive concerns, he is also interested in survey methods, experimental design, the application of Artificial Intelligence to political science research, and quantitative methods more generally. Jacob received his PhD in Politics from Princeton University in 2025 and also holds an MA in Politics from Princeton University and a BA in International Relations from USC.
