Michael "Misha" Danilin -- an MA graduate (Russian and Slavic Department, NYU) has been teaching at New York University, working with professors Eliot Borenstein (Russia between East and West), Stephen Cohen (Russia since 1917) and teaching Russian language. Since 2016 he has been lecturing on Russian rock (Russian and Slavic Department, Jordan Center for the Advanced Study of Russia). In 2017, he has been hosting the new entertainment / education event series "Kvartirnik @ NYU". Danilin is also a musician with NYC-based bands Interzona (synthpop / alternative / electronica) and M.D. & The Healers (reggae / world fusion beat).
