Josh completed his law degree in international law, media law, and intellectual property at the University of Nebraska Law School. Prior to law school, he completed a year in Russia as an English Teaching Assistant through the Fulbright Program and an additional year of contractual work experience in Kazan, Russia. In his undergraduate years, he received a double major in Russian and French at the University of Nebraska.
In addition to work experience in Russia, Josh worked as a law clerk in the Summer of 2020 with the International Legal Foundation, writing a policy draft to address overcrowded detention centers in Liberia during the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as conducting research into law and human-rights violations in Afghanistan. More recently, Josh completed an internship this Spring at the Council on Foreign Relations, working under Dr. Thomas Graham as a Russian studies intern and conducting research into the various media viewpoints in the United States on Russia from 2010-2020. Josh currently works as a legal epidemiologist at the Morehouse School of Medicine, helping to create a health equity tracker to track disparities among minorities and at-risk groups in the United States during the Covid-19 pandemic.
